Inspired by Nintendo's Mario Kart video game, the K'NEX Mario and Yoshi vs Stone Bowser Building Set brings the fun of Mario Kart racing out of the Wii and into real life. This 340-piece set includes more than 12 feet of track, two motorized karts, and Mario and Yoshi figures. Kids aged 6 and up can recreate their favorite tracks from the game, or design and customize their own tracks. With obstacles like Bullet Bill, green shell, and Giant Stone Bowser's fireballs, this building set makes getting to the finish line an adventure.
The building set features two motorized karts to speed along the track. Each battery-powered kart holds a Mario or Yoshi figure. To operate the karts, simply turn on the motor and release them on the track. Play individually on the track to enjoy the spectacle, or race against an opponent to see who can finish first.
The building set includes more than 12 feet of track that forms a closed loop. The 30 pieces of buildable track interconnect, so you can create customized layouts. Use the rods and connectors to build jumps and ramps into your track for a more challenging and exhilarating racing experience.
K'NEX track pieces can be combined with different Mario Kart sets to construct larger, more elaborate track layouts. The karts, figures, and accessories are also compatible with other track sets (each sold separately).
As in the video game, there are numerous obstacles to overcome in this building set, all of which you control. Place the Bowser, Bullet Bill, green shell, and star accessories anywhere on the track. There's also a Giant Stone Bowser obstacle to overcome. Pull the handle on its back to shoot fireballs out of its mouth to knock Mario and Yoshi off the track. Or press the lever to swing its arms down while they race by--you decide who stays in the game.
